Taryn does Gymnastics!

Today was Taryn's first day of gymnastics and she had a blast! She had no fear and tried everything. Balance beam, trampoline and the bar. She didn't want to leave! We signed her up for a once a week class. She needs somewhere to release her energy - besides the living room!

First we did an obstacle course of sorts. Roll down the hill, walk the edge of a raised circle, then down a balance beam - stepping over bumps. Next do a cartwheel, jump into hula-hoops and then a hand stand. Finally through a tunnel and over a big bump.

Next was a series that included a small trampoline, climbing up a large mat and jumping off the vault, then the bar where she hung, did pull ups and swung.

Last was a long trampoline - about 20 feet. Taryn climbed up and then did various things down the length - running, walking, jumping and spinning.

Of course, mom did everything too, as the spotter! I don't think it will be too long before she's off on her own, though! She smiled the whole time and then fell asleep right away in the car! Can't wait for next week!
