Scream for Ice Cream
I decided to teach myself shirring the other day. This is a technique where you sew with elastic thread to make the fabric gathered and very stretchy. My first project was this little ice cream halter top and capri pants outfit for Alaina. The perfect theme for summer!
I embroidered an appliquéd ice cream cone on the capris. I also embroidered a little ice cream cone on the ribbon for the bow. I had never done that before either and it was a bit tricky to get it lined up. I think it all turned out very cute and Alaina loves to wear it.
